This machine came recommended by a Chinese friend who had the original chinese version and loved it. We have had it for around 2-3 months now and it works very well. We had to experiment with different ingredients for our soy milk but now love it especially when it is fresh and hot, it is really sublime. We use soaked soy beans, a few nuts, some seeds( hemp and sunflower) plus 2 dried dates for sweetness, and it is really good.
One thing we noticed it makes a much better tasting milk when you make less, so we always make 700-800ml rather than full capacity of 1L as it tastes so much better. It cleans itself so well, but like others say, if you use it for soup, be prepared to clean twice and use a tiny amount of soap on the second wash, as suggested in the manual, to prevent taste transfer. It so incredibly easy and convenient rather than normal milk making machines, or shopping and carrying soy milk cartons, and tastes so much nicer.
We have had no errors except when we forget to put a lid on, get short of water, or take the jug out while the cycle is running- so anything that would be our fault. It works perfectly as intended and would highly recommend this product.
The machine had E25 error code after 2.5 years and costed $150 to fix, and the issue popped again after a year. Really disappointed with the product.
Expensive machine that does not last. Felt cheated as they sold product with known issue. Be prepared to spend more money to fix it.
We have had this machine for 1 year and have used it almost daily. We are very happy with the product, often using for soy milk, smooth, sesame pastes and porridge. It is built to a very high quality and the self-cleaning feature is excellent making it easy to use. We have personally recommended this machine to many of our friends over the last few months.
The machine can not complete the soymilk 1000ml function always errors with code E08. I can also not get hold of support at joyoung to ask about help on this issue; although i have used their contact us and sent an email. The machine functions are otherwise ok.
